Client Reviews

WHAT CLIENTS
HAVE SHARED

"What stood out was how much time they spent reviewing our existing camera footage before agreeing to any scope. They told us upfront that two of our three proposed use cases were borderline — and explained exactly why. That level of honesty made it easy to trust the rest of the engagement."

"We started with the scoping pilot because we genuinely didn't know if our packaging line was a good fit for visual inspection. The pilot confirmed it was — and the written appraisal was detailed enough that we could share it with our operations director and CFO without needing to translate anything."

"The detection model has been running for about four months now. It performs well within the limits they documented — accuracy drops a bit under low ambient light, which they flagged before delivery. Knowing that in advance let us set appropriate thresholds rather than treating every alert as equally reliable."

"We'd had a previous bad experience with a vendor who overpromised significantly. Synthari's approach was refreshingly different — smaller scope, clear deliverable, honest numbers. The class definition workshop was particularly useful; it forced us to articulate what we actually meant by 'defect' across three product lines."

"The handover session was the thing that surprised me most. They didn't just demo the system — they walked our quality team through the retraining process step by step and made sure three different people understood how to run it. That's what 'documentation' actually looks like when it's done properly."

"We engaged the scoping pilot specifically because we weren't sure whether our surface inspection challenge was a vision problem or a sensor problem. The honest answer was: a bit of both. They helped us understand what part of it vision could address and what it couldn't, which saved us from an expensive build in the wrong direction."

ENGAGEMENTS
IN DETAIL

Three representative project histories — challenge, approach, and outcomes.

ASSET TRACKING — LOGISTICS FACILITY, CHANGI

Object Detection System · 6 weeks · SGD 2,680

Challenge

A logistics operator needed to track the movement of high-value equipment across a large warehouse. Manual log-keeping was inconsistent and produced gaps in the audit trail during shift changes.

Approach

We surveyed the facility, identified optimal camera positions, and trained a detection model on 1,400 labelled images. Detection classes were defined with both warehouse supervisors and the compliance team to align with reporting needs.

Outcome

The model achieved 91% precision on the agreed class set under normal lighting. Audit trail gaps during shift changes were eliminated. System has been running for five months without requiring retraining.

SURFACE DEFECT INSPECTION — PCBA MANUFACTURER, WOODLANDS

Visual Quality Inspection · 5 weeks · SGD 1,580

Challenge

An electronics manufacturer was experiencing a rise in solder defects being missed during manual visual inspection, leading to downstream rework and occasional field returns from B2B customers.

Approach

Starting with a Scoping Pilot, we assessed image data quality from the existing inspection station camera. The full Visual Inspection engagement followed. Five defect categories were defined with the QC team and validated against a set of known-bad samples.

Outcome

Flagging rate on targeted defect categories improved significantly. The QC team now uses model alerts as a secondary check alongside manual review — the combined approach reduced rework rates by approximately 30% over the first two months of operation.

FEASIBILITY ASSESSMENT — COLD CHAIN FACILITY, TUAS

Scoping & Pilot · 3 weeks · SGD 720

Challenge

A cold chain logistics operator wanted to explore using computer vision to detect open refrigeration unit doors during loading operations — a recurring issue causing temperature compliance failures.

Approach

We conducted a remote site review and assessed lighting conditions and camera placement. A small pilot using sample footage confirmed that steam condensation in the loading bay would consistently impair detection reliability.

Outcome

The written appraisal recommended against a full computer vision build for this specific use case, citing the condensation issue. We outlined two alternative sensor approaches better suited to the environment. The client saved significantly in avoided build costs.
